✉ sampwoodworks@gmail.comEvery single piece you see on this site was made by one pair of hands — mine. I'm Sam, a musician based in Berkshire who started making guitar stands because I couldn't find anything I actually liked. What began as a hobby quickly turned into something much more serious.
I use a range of materials depending on the piece — solid wood including pine, oak, and hardwoods for most structural items, and quality sheet materials or veneers where they're the right choice for the job. Every piece is finished by hand with oils, waxes, and stains chosen to bring out the best in the material. If you order from me, it's built for you, to your size, in your chosen finish.
Based just outside Reading, I ship across the whole of the UK with free postage on every order. Most items are made and dispatched within 1–3 days, though some larger or more complex pieces may take a little longer — I'll always let you know upfront.
If you've got something specific in mind — an unusual size, a particular wood, or a completely custom piece — just drop me an email. Some of my favourite builds have come from conversations that started with "I don't suppose you could make..."
How long does delivery take?
Most items are made and dispatched within 1–3 days. Delivery then takes a further 1–3 days via courier. I'll send you a tracking number as soon as it's on its way. All UK delivery is free.
Can I request a custom size or finish?
Absolutely — that's one of the best bits. Get in touch before ordering and we'll work out exactly what you need. Custom dimensions, specific wood types, personalised engraving — all possible.
What wood do you use?
It varies by product — solid pine, oak, and hardwoods for most items, with quality sheet materials and veneers used where appropriate. The exact material depends on the piece — check each product listing or drop me a message if you want to know before ordering.
Do your guitar stands fit all guitars?
My standard stands are designed to fit most acoustic and electric guitars, including dreadnoughts and classical guitars. If you have a particularly wide-bodied or unusual guitar, mention it when you order and I'll adjust accordingly.
Do you do gift wrapping or personalisation?
I can add personalised engraving to many pieces — names, messages, dates. It makes a brilliant gift. Just drop me a message with what you'd like and I'll let you know if it's possible for that item.
What if something arrives damaged?
It's rare, but if it happens — please take a photo and email me straight away. I'll sort it out quickly, whether that's a replacement or a full refund. I pack everything carefully but couriers can be rough.
